Create your first notes

Notes are the basic unit of information in Dovetail. They are a blank canvas that can contain video, audio, text, or files.

Typically, one note will contain a single piece of raw data. For example, a note might represent a customer interview, an existing research slide deck, or a support ticket from a customer.

Notes are organized inside projects, so they are easily searchable by everyone in your organization.

• To create a note, select New note.

• From there, a new page will open. Start typing live notes on this page or import your data!
